What I love about London is its cultural diversity. Yes it can be mad at time, but as a crossroads for people for centuries, London has been the stage for creative genius and you can find this in a wide spectrum of the arts. Having been born and raised in a nation of immigrants, I honor diversity and feel that it is a great strength for a country to posses. This was made even more clear to me after my years of studies and living in one of the most homogeneous countries in the world - Japan.

London is now preparing to host the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, which will provide the perfect platform to showcase the city's amazing arts and culture to the world. 


London is also home to some of the world's great hotels and restaurants - an homage to its place as a crossroads city for centuries. Claridge's in Mayfair has been one of my all-time favorite hotels and on each visit to the city I try my best to get a reservation and have a meal at Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's. I was a big fan of the hotel long before the arrival of this celebrity chef, but I feel that the dining experience at Mr. Ramsay's restaurant is one of the finest one can have in the world and his lunch menu is perhaps the best value for such an extraordinary restaurant.
